Many of you know my "staff" is entirely feline, and all adopted! My neighborhood social media pages are filled with stories of families missing a lost pet, or of people who have found pet that they need to get to their rightful owners. Often, these stores are posted at night and on weekends, when veterinary offices are closed. The frequency of these occurrences made me think "how can I help?" Sure enough, microchip scanners are readily available and not that expensive, although they aren't something everyone needs to have lying around all the time. But, I thought, if I get one, and let people know I have it, I can help people get these animals reunited quickly and easily!
So there you have it: "George Grant Burch- Distinctive Properties Group and Pet Re-homing Service" is born! All kidding aside, it's an easy way for me to meet other animal lovers, help a scared baby make their way home, and sure, maybe come across a person or family that needs to find a home as well! All in all, just another opportunity to do the thing I love most: helping!
Another way I'm going to help this year is to make a $125 donation to Friends for Life, a no-kill animal shelter located in the Heights, for every home I close this year. And for individuals or families who want to adopt a pet for their new home, I'll pay their adoption fees as well! Just one small way I can help!
